| Steelers notify Starks that he's going to be cut:

Well, that'll end the constantly manuevering O-line due to injuries problem, but creates a new one in and of itself. We need a new O-lineman. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available!

| Are they freeing up money for Plax? Just kidding. - Quote :
- We’ve heard the Steelers want to bring back Willie Colon, a move which will take greater importance now. Johnathan Scott could also get another look.
They must feel confident in re-signing Colon. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass.

| Randle El is gone as well ...
PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- The Steelers started free agency being $11 million over the salary cap and have started the process of trying reduce that number.
The team has announced that they’ve released veterans Max Starks and Antwaan Randle El.
The 29-year-old Starks was set to earn $5.14 million in 2011 while Randle El was going to make $2.3 million.

| No huge losses here. I agree we need another o-lineman, but I heard that Starks has ballooned to 400 lbs. since being injured. We don't need that. Plus, who knows how he'll recover from the injury. Randle-El was expendable due to the stellar play of both Sanders and Brown. Good moves IMHO. _________________ -"I stand corrected... I'm still bitter about Randle El lining up on the wrong side during one of the last plays of the Super Bowl. Wallace threw his hands up in the air thinking he didn't know the play. It was ARE's mistake. We brought him back for some veteran leadership, but he certainly didn't help on that final drive. ARE helped us beat the Seahawks, and that's how I'll remember him. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass. | |
