Here is a list of possible CBs:
Alex Carter (visited... I want him) Eric Rowe (visited) Jalen Collins (visited) Quentin Rollins Josh Shaw (no jumping) D'Joun Smith (Gruden's favorite CB) Ronald Darby Steve Nelson (slight reach)
Landon Collins is still available.
Carl Davis is my dark horse (he's a monster)
Other possible picks: AJ Cann, LG Ali Marpet, LG Donovan Smith, LG Max Williams, TE
Other players who could get drafted, that would push a CB down to Pittsburgh: Jake Fisher TJ Clemmings Eddie Goldman Randy Gregory Double-O Preston Smith Eli Harold Nate Orchard Plus... three or four WRs
WHO ELSE?

| I'm thinking a cornerback may not be the highest rated player on the Steelers bored and would be a reach with the second pic. If you go by Mike mayocks top 100 list there are only two cb's remaining in the top 56. I would be fine with either Collins (ain't gonna happen) or a trade back for a cb and an extra third. I just don't wanna reach for Bryant McFadden or Ricardo colclough because we are desperate. Bring back Ike!!! | |

| Wouldn't be surprise if the Steelers throw a curve and pick Maxx Williams if he's available. And I won't complain about it. | |

Bring back Ike!!! I hear your concerns. I could see them going NT or OG... or Maxx Williams. Technically, there are four secondary guys left: Landon Collins, Jalen Collins, Eric Rowe, and Ronald Darby. All three of those CBs are big hitters; Rowe was a safety... and, Darby thrives on contact.

| Drafting Maxx Williams would give Ben a long term security blanket for the rest of his career.
If they went that direction I could see them trading up to get a CB they want. Maybe J.Collins foot surgery will make him drop far enough to do so... _________________ Known as BLACK_AND_YELLOW from SF

I would love to see Carl Davis in a Steelers jersey! The Steelers brought in/met with a bunch of NTs. McClendon is turning 30, is in the final year of his contract, and is injured too often. All things point to this being a legitimate possibility.

| I woke up thinking it's going to be Rollins.
Quinten Rollins, safety, Miami (Ohio) It might seem counterintuitive to include Rollins on this list, given that he had seven interceptions last season and was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year. Yet, I'm among those that think his best football is still ahead of him. Rollins was a four-year starter for the Miami (Ohio) basketball team before he decided to return to football, which he hadn't played since high school, for the 2014 season to tremendous success. There's reason to think he has plenty of potential to improve as he continues to learn the game. He played corner in college and could stay at that spot in the NFL, but I think he's best suited to play safety in the NFL, given his speed (he ran the 40 in 4.57 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine). His ball skills could really shine at safety, where he's able to keep the game in front of him instead of having to turn around to find the ball as a corner. _________________ This is the strangest life I've ever known.

For a while there, over at SF, there was heavy discussion about taking him at 22. The "player du jour" moment passed, and people realized that 56 is a more logical landing spot for him. .

Well, if we draft him, I'll just be happy if he doesn't get all "rapey". _________________ -"I stand corrected... But I absolutely and wholeheartedly fart in the general direction of almost every other thing you have posted to this point."-

| I think Rowe and both Collins won't be there. I am intrigued by Alex Carter though. He's fairly local. Went to high school a few towns over form here, has a NFL pedigree, and I assume is a smart kid too since he went to Stanford. I am also intrigued by Rollins since those seven picks are very sexy and I think more turnovers along with more sacks from Bud will be a critical element in the return of blitzburgh. However, I wouldn't complain if it's the TE Williams either since Heath is getting up there in years, Spaethi is what he is, and Blanchflower is a big question mark. | |
