Blake and C Allen are better then Boykin? W Allen is better then Thomas? How are there so many misses by the scouts and coaches happening in our secondary?

I liked what little that I saw from Boykin in preseason.. Why the fuck not start him and see what he's got? Can't be any worse than the scrubs they have now.

I agree with you.
the reasoning why Boykin supposedly didn't play is because he doesn't understand our defense yet.
it can be argued that neither did the guys that were out there for us...

Steelers ran mainly Cover 1 and Cover 3 vs NE. Didn't have individual talent for former, lacked OLBs who could play flats in latter.
If they want to run that much Cover 1 again, they better have Boykin out there. Or at least, not Blake in the slot.

I have no idea why Blake was playing in the slot anyways. He might be short but he's always been better suited playing outside.
