Coincidentally this question was asked of Bob Labriola in his "asked and answered" segment and here is what he said: : a team may consider Burnett's current remaining contract with the Steelers better than what they could negotiate on the open market.

well considering his amount of sideline time , and how he performed when he actually did play, plus the fact that he is a year older, i would think any GM with common sense would say the steeler contract over paid.

Browns did that purely to try and get an insider opinion on our defense. Burnett is washed up. Dude can't cover to save his life. He keeps claiming he wasn't used properly, I get that excuse to some extent, but he was getting flat toasted in coverage and looked like a deer in the headlights.

When you think about it his signing should work in our favor if he starts. They may learn a little from him about our playbook but we can change plays or at least disguise them. You can't disguise tendencies and diminishing skills which is where he's at this stage of his career.I look forward to seeing him "out of place" by his own doing twice a year against us.
