Steelers @ Panthers PS4 Game Day thread

Well this is it. Final pre-season game and then cuts.

I'm not sure what happen the first few minutes, but I just saw the Steelers blocked a FG attempt.

Dobbs can't move the team down field, 3 and out, after an incomplete pass, and a sack (fumbled but recovered).

Defense making plays. Ugly tackling but the pass rush is great.

Just when I thought the Panthers were going to take one in, the defense causes a fumble and returns it for a Steelers TD.

Good guys up 7-0

Panthers kick a FG, Steelers lead 7-3.

Gotta hand it to that Slye kid, he can kick.

Rudolph is showing why he passed Dobbson the depth chart.

Panthers score late in the 2nd, take the lead 10-7

Wright connects at the end of the 2nd to tie the game 10-10

Sutton with the INT setting the Steelers up on the 32 yard line

Rudolph to Holton on one play, Steelers resume the lead 17-10

Spoke too soon, XP is missed, score is 16-10

Rudolph looking great. Nice toss to Johnny Holton. Nice little INT by Cam Sutton as well to set that up.

Matthew Wright is trash. Should've just played Boswell and let him get a bit of a warm up for the regular season.

1st drive of the 2nd half is horrendous.

Two runs for negative yards followed by a sack.

Time to take Rudolph out of the game and let Hodges get his reps in right now.

Defense does there job and gets the ball to the offense.

Offense stalls again with no rushing yards on two tries and another sack on 3rd down.

UGH!

At this point I just want to leave this game with no injuries.

Not sure what's happening, but the game seems to be more of a checkers match right now instead of a chess match.

Hodges doesn't make the team with a performance like this.

Hodges has literally .3 seconds to throw the ball. Doesn't help when he does manage to get a throw off our guys are dropping passes.

Garbage officiating on that last series. That roughing the passer was terrible. I think it was Scales in there, he was sliding on the ground, how is he supposed to stop himself?

And while I wasn't paying attention, the Panthers take the lead 17-16

Not many players in the game right now are going to be making the 53-man roster, let alone the practice squad.

I agree but he hasn't taken advantage when he did get opportunities. Hasn't been sharp.

This o-line is stinking it up. Given, they're 3rd and 4th string guys but c'mon. Block somebody.
