| A bit of bad news....
Steelers running back James Conner out 2nd straight game; JuJu Smith-Schuster in question
PITTSBURGH -- For the second week in a row, the Pittsburgh Steelers ground attack will be without James Conner. After taking steps back in his recovery from a shoulder injury, Conner is listed as out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Because he didn't practice Thursday or Friday after a limited showing Wednesday, his absence against the Rams was anticipated.
Perhaps even more troubling is the new addition to the injury report.
Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with a foot injury. The injury first appeared on Friday's practice report, and he was a limited participant in the final practice of the week.

| No Conner and no Juju? If that's the case, I simply don't think this team can win, or I'm just not very confident it can. This offense is still not doing all that great 10 weeks into the season, and Mason looks serviceable at best for now, which just sucks.
I thought he looked a lot better prior to the injury. He's been really inconsistent since. I would love to see him turn a corner and put out a flashy game but I just don't know if he is the future or not. If anything, he will be the placeholder after Ben if they have trouble drafting a
QB.
A few weeks ago I said having Ben out there probably wouldn't help much but now I feel foolish for feeling that way. But Conner and juju need to work on their ball security. | Call me crazy but even with all of our injuries I still think we can and will win this game. Here is why:
Goff has been bounced around like a pinball all year. TJ and Dupree need to have a great game rushing. We need to stop Gurley and on offense we need to protect the ball. If we keep Donald out of our backfield and away from MR we can control the tempo. In order to do that Samuels has to step up as well as the O-line needs to open holes for him. Between him and Edmunds we need to be able to run on these guys. If we do that we can take some shots down the field using play action but we also have to stay away from Ramsey. That dude can kick our asses although I'd love to see MR and Washington or Johnson burn him long. I look for a low scoring game with us coming out on top.

| Double team Donald with either two lineman and or chip him with a RB or TE all day. Use some screens early to counter their aggressive pass rush and make them hesitate. Scrrens have worked really well against the rams. Their middle of the field is softer then ours this year if you can imagine that exploit it. | |
