Two of a kind; CBs Nelson, Haden lead Steelers secondary

PITTSBURGH (AP) —
Joe Haden could have taken Steve Nelson’s arrival personally, a threat of sorts when the Pittsburgh Steelers splurged in free agency in March 2019 to bring in Nelson from Kansas City.

The Steelers were looking to shore up a leaky secondary that underachieved during a late-season collapse the previous fall. So they spent $25 million on a three-year deal to lure Nelson away from the Chiefs.

I'm looking for good things out of this years Steelers defense.

I love our defense right now. Really excited to see how they play this year. We all know Haden and Nelson are solid, but I'm really excited to see what kind of jump Devin Bush makes in year two. If the offense is even slightly better than last season, and we all know it's going to be better with Ben back... this defense could be downright scary.

The way I see it if we remain healthy through out the season this team can win our 7th Lombardi. We're good enough and then some. We just have to stay healthy.
