PITTSBURGH -- Dorin Dickerson's take-home pay is much less than it was last year. But he's not complaining. At least he's still working.
It's the Steelers who plucked Dickerson off the unemployment line Monday by signing him to their eight-man practice squad.
"It's an honor to be part of the Steelers' organization," said Dickerson, a 2006 West Allegheny High School graduate who played college football at Pitt. "Practice squad or not, it's an honor to be Steeler."
Last year, Dickerson spent the entire season with Houston. The Texans had taken Dickerson in the seventh round of the draft and tried to change him from tight end/H-Back to wide receiver. But the experiment wasn't exactly a success. Dickerson played in just seven games and didn't catch any passes.

The Texans tried to turn him from a tight end into a wide receiver. I wonder if we can turn him into a tackle or guard? Or maybe a cornerback.
