Are you ready for some football? I hope we see some today.
When they signed Wilson,Fields and hired Smith I thought we'd be a much improved team. Now to me it feels like it's back up in the air. I think Fields is starting today. If so we'll get a glimpse of what he can do and whether he has taken the next step. I have a suggestion for Tomlin. Let's stop playing O-lineman out of position. Put them where they can excel and leave them alone. I thought the hiring of Smith would work this out but it looks like Moore will start at LT and Jones at RT. I wonder if Jones is purposely playing like shit on the right so they'll plug him back in where he belongs.

Offense a little out of sorts but Fields uses his legs to get a 1st. Just gotta settle down and get into a rythm.

The reverses and screens to Pickens make zero sense to me. Pickens should be used as a blocker, use a guy like Austin for that stuff.

Really starting to see why they pushed so hard for Brandon Aiyuk. The receivers outside of Pickens have done nothing. Need to get the TEs more involved next series.

Also really starting to wonder why we let Diontae go if this is the product we're getting. He and Pickens had some chemistry together. I'd take DJ's occasional dropsies over dudes that can't get open.

Yeah he's already having a bigger game than our entire receiving corps so far.
Not at all impressed with Van Jefferson or Calvin Austin so far. Nobody is getting open, and Pickens is having to work his ass off for every catch.

That's been happening for awhile Iowa. Believe it or not it's not just us. They call shitty games for other teams too.
Maybe they let us play the Falcons in the second half. I'm almost glad I can't watch it.
