NFL fines Steelers center Pouncey for late hit

Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey said he was fined $7,500 by the NFL for a late hit in Sunday's loss in Houston.

Pouncey was penalized 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct when he blocked Texans linebacker Connor Barwin to the ground after a 14-yard run by Mewelde Moore in the second quarter.

Pouncey is the sixth Steelers player to be fined by the league this season.

If this moron stays in charge he'll be fining Hines 2 years after he retires for saying in public that Goodell is a "lowlife douchbag that wouldn't make a pimple on Tagliabue's ass".

Maybe when he and Robert Kraft finally have a lovers' quarrel and breakup he'll get all spiteful and vindictive against the Cheats. You know what they say about a woman scorned....

I'm on the "Don't allow him in the kitchen" list at the NFL HQ's. I've tried to talk to the Rooney's to let me cook just for him when he comes to Pittsburgh but they won't even give me the opportunity.

Look, I've played every angle I can except taking THE PRINCESS to the front door of Dan Rooney himself. But I'm torn as to whether or not I get her involved in such an action at such a young age. She's got such a bright future.

I can't believe the players union is fighting the issue of fines.
I don't have a problem with a player getting fined if he intentionally tries to injure another player. But what we're seeing is guys getting fined for just trying to make a play. No matter how much the NFL wants it, they're not going to eliminate illegal hits from the game. When a player delivers an illegal hit, he draws a flag and hurts his team. There's the punishment. There's no need for a fine.
