Alameda Ta'amu, David DeCastro, Mike Adams, OTA's, Pittsburgh Steelers
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Pittsburgh Steelers draft picks David DeCastro, Mike Adams and Alameda Ta’amu will join the team for organized team activites next week.

It was made official Tuesday.

All three were still at their respective schools finishing up the semester. Their presence is valued, considering each will likely serve a major role next season.

I don't recall ever having draft choices in camp this early. It's usually been later, towards the end of June when they're more accessible.

I don't know about "ever" ... but certainly one of the best in recent memory.

As far as I'm concerned, if DeCastro and Adams live up to their potential, anything else will just be a bonus.
