The Steelers have hired one of their former players as a defensive assistant coach.
Joey Porter, who played for the Steelers from 1999-2006, has been added to Mike Tomlin’s staff.
“We are excited about having Joey back with the Steelers’ family,” Tomlin said in a statement. “Joey spent a number of years with Pittsburgh as a player, and now he’s back to assist the coaching staff. We look forward to his efforts and contributions.”

I absolutely love this move. We've lost a lot of leadership the past few years, and while Porter can't help on the field, he can provide leadership off of it and really help the young linebackers, especially Jones. _________________  If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. | Just because he was a good player, doesn't mean he'll be a good coach (just sayin').
