The Steelers waited four rounds to get him, but they finally drafted the tall wide receiver they've been looking for by choosing 6-foot-31⁄2 Martavis Bryant of Clemson on Saturday.
Bryant played opposite first-round pick Sammy Watkins in Clemson's explosive offense and averaged an FBS-record 22.2 yards per catch on 61 catches during his career. He had 42 catches for 828 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
Bryant had three receptions for 28 yards and two touchdowns against Steelers first-round pick Ryan Shazier and Ohio State in the Orange Bowl.
“It's a great fit. The whole time I wanted to be a Pittsburgh Steeler,” Bryant said.
Brown and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger have long wanted the Steelers to add a taller receiver to give them a different dimension offensively.

- 5 reasons to like Martavis Bryant
* He’s 6-foot-4 and 211 pounds, which makes him the second-tallest wide receiver on the roster behind Derek Moye (6-5).
* He scored 13 touchdowns on 61 career receptions at Clemson and his 22.20 yards-per-catch average topped the NCAA FBS record of 21.96.
* Bryant’s 40-yard dash time of 4.42 at the Combine was tied for fifth among wide receivers.
* Bryant’s size potentially will contribute to the Steelers scoring what wide receivers coach Richard Mann refers to as “cheap touchdowns” in the red zone.
* Bryant’s physical skill-set, in theory, will help compensate for what departed wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery contributed to the running game.
