| Just received a text alert the Steelers and Ben have agreed to a contract...

[quote]The Pittsburgh Steelers are not going to let Ben Roethlisberger get away anytime soon.
The team announced they have agreed to terms with Roethlisberger on a new contract. He was set to hit free agency after the 2015 season, but general manager Kevin Colbert said recently he was confident the two sides would come to terms.
Big Ben was overdue for a contract upgrade after watching guys like Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton and Jay Cutler zoom past him in compensation. Roethlisberger was due $11.6 million in 2015, a number that could double under this new contract[\quote]
I guess Crash was wrong again...and Ben will not be going to Steelers West (aka Arizona).

| Pittsburgh Post-Gazette The Steelers have come to terms with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on a new contract and will hold a 5 p.m. press conference today. Roethlisberger had one year to go on a previous contract extension that was to pay him a salary of $11.6 million and carry a salary cap of $18.4 million. His new deal, expected to average around $20 million over at least six years, should actually lower his salary cap number for 2015. http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/steelers/2015/03/13/Pittsburgh-Steelers-new-contract-quarterback-Ben-Roethlisberger/stories/201503130307 EDIT: You beat me to it Truck. I posted this as I was trying to leave for work. Posts merged. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass.

Ben love Pittsburgh because it's the only team in the NFL that doesn't try to fit a dress on their QBs. And think about it, money aside, his O-line is starting to gel, he has a stud RB, a TE he trusts and some really good WRs. Why the hell would he walk away from that? It's the place that offers him the best chance to win a Super Bowl. Unlike, let's say, Arizona. Just saying | |
