• Quite the darkhorse after totaling 10 collegiate catches for three different schools, tight end Cameron Clear has had consecutive two-touchdown days at Steelers camp. The first Thursday was during the “Seven Shots” 2-point conversion-style drill, the next ending a long two-minute drill drive by converting a fourth-and-6 from outside the 15.
• The offense had a clean sweep during the daily “Seven Shots.” Roethlisberger flipped short touchdown passes to Bell, Heath Miller and Brown. In addition to one to Clear, Landry Jones' scoring throws were when rookie tight end Jesse James showed nice extension to haul in a ball and when converted quarterback Devin Gardner caught a fade route. Also, Cameron Stingily scored on a run up the middle.
