What number do you guys think Archer is going to wear for the Cardinals?
Arians will need to beat several WPIAL teams that may take a look at him before the playoffs start tomorrow night, assuming high schools are not worried about Archer getting hurt playing against bigger players
The Steelers finally cut ties with Dri Archer and replaced him with old nemesis Jacoby Jones....
As for Archer, the small back/receiver/returner did not produce in any form after the Steelers drafted him in the third round from Kent University in 2014.
Although he was the fastest player in that draft (4.26 seconds at the combine), he never showed that speed on a pro football field and at 5-8, just 173 pounds, he went down easily. He had 10 carries for 40 yards as a rookie, and seven receptions for 23 yards. He had no carries or receptions this season.

This is the "meh" move of the year.
Kickers always kick it out of the back of the endzone (until they realized how bad Archer sucked), and our return units suck.
I wonder if Jacoby will play any other roll than KR or PR? can he do anything else? Never really paid much attention to him but remember him pissing me off a couple of times when he was playing for the ratbirds.
Jones signed a two-year deal with the Chargers as a free agent this offseason, but they opted to cut bait on Wednesday after five games that saw him add very little to their chances of winning games. Jones didn’t catch a pass on offense and his work as a returner resulted in minus-four punt return yards and a 21.3-yard per return average on kickoffs.
Who didn't know Archer was gonna eventually get cut ? Should have released Blake (imo) because he's done way more actual 'damage' during games than Archer.

While I like this move on paper, why did San Diego release him?
Not sure, but guessing its because "Jones didn’t catch a pass on offense and his work as a returner resulted in minus-four punt return yards and a 21.3-yard per return average on kickoffs."
