Report: Bengals' Defensive Backs Stay Home After Winston Rose Tests Positive for COVID-19

CINCINNATI — Bengals cornerback Winston Rose tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. The team kept its defensive backs home on Wednesday morning as a precaution according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
The team is currently going through contract tracing. Multiple defensive backs won't practice on Wednesday according to the report. There's a chance they could return to Paul Brown Stadium on Thursday.
The Bengals activated cornerback Mackensie Alexander and linebacker Jordan Evans from the COVID-19 reserve list. Offensive tackle Fred Johnson, cornerback Trae Waynes, defensive tackle Margus Hunt and Rose are the four players that remain on the list.

The Steelers' first injury report of the week shows Mike Hilton (shoulder), Derek Watt (hamstring) as full practice participants today, Tyson Alualu (knee) as limited. JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) was held out, but that issue's been there all season. #DKPS#Steelers#HereWeGo

Good news for Sunday.
#Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said that he expects Ben Roethlisberger will come off the COVID-19 list and be ready for Sunday's game against the Bengals. They will have an extended walkthrough on Saturday to get Ben acclimated.

Bengals injury report.
For the Bengals, 3 starters: DT Geno Atkins, RT Bobby Hart, and CB Darius Phillips have been ruled out for the game vs. the #Steelers. RB Joe Mixon (foot) is doubtful and didn't practice at all this week.

Supposed to be rainy and windy here in PA Sunday. Maybe more of a running game and Mixon is doubtful for Bengals.

So it looks like we'll be facing a backup RB. I feel much better about Alualu being back. Hopefully we won't let a backup look like an all pro. We will have to apply constant pressure to Burrow while not letting him out of the pocket. He throws really well on the run. Other than the Rats they have not seen a defense like ours. We need to start fast and build on that. Control the clock by running on them. With Adkins out we should be able to run up the middle but our O-line needs to push them off the line. Even though this shouldn't be a tough game for us it's still not a gimme. Constant pressure, sacks and turnovers are key IMHO. I'd also like to see Ben get on track with a couple long completions.

Need to see if the Vanilla Boys Butler and Fitchner come out with the same bland play calling and get hammered for it the first half like they have been.

how bad the o-line been run blocking start out with the outside short and medium pass game countered with crossing and slant passes getting the Bengals defense into their nickel defense package LBs and Safeties off the line then mix in the running game.
Dupree sure can get up field quick wonder why never learned a spin move to counter that quick up field move?

No running game, offensive line and TEs can't run block to save their lives. Going to have to end up going to that up tempo and letting Ben play backyard football again. Fichtner's offense just doesn't seem to work.
