Connor again ? i wouldnt give him a roster spot next year if he only was paid 20k a year. an employee is useless if they aren't at work. i have heard tomlin use the word "availability" often when speaking on a players evaluation.

Glad Haden is back anyways. At this point I'm not sure Conner being there or not makes a lot of difference. They're calling for rain Monday in Cincy. I could really get into a snow game...I don't mean just a few flurries. It seems so long since Steelers played in a snowstorm.

I was reading Ray Fittipaldo's chat at Post Gazette from earlier in the week. He said at that time Dotson might be a possibility since there's an extra day this week, but it's probably not looking good if he's not practicing at the end of week.

Even though the Bengals can't knock us out of the playoffs I'm sure they'd love to rain on our parade. If we lose this game we don't deserve to be in the playoffs IMO. I don't think we will but nothing surprises me this year. We could have a positive test or two and goodell will call a forfeit.

Diontae Johnson said that Ben Roethlisberger came to him and basically said "do you want to play football." It sounded almost like what a father would say to a son. DJ said that really resonated with him and got him back on track

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson on Ben Roethlisberger's pep talk to him last week before halftime: "It showed that he cares about me. ... For him to come up to me and give me some motivational speech or whatnot to get my mind back right, it felt good to me. That got me going."

Distracted, or simply doesn't care. If your QB is asking you if you even want to play football in your 2nd season, something is drastically wrong.

That's not the right mentality. He can be an outstanding WR if he wants to work for it. Future will tell if he does and if he doesn't time to let him walk after his rookie contract. We can't have that mentality on our team.

So we roll with Ju Ju,JW and Claypool. When needed we put Ray Ray in. Let him earn his way back. That would tell what he's made of.

the NFL created this Diva douchebag showboat culture...remember that old penalty called unsportsman like conduct ? that was the one that forced coaches to police their showboat assclowns and teach them to act like professionals.. well they relaxed the rules and this is what we get.

I remember back in high school football our coaches called it "hot dogging" and if you were seen showing off in any way you paid for it. One of our receivers/return specialist a buddy of mine did the little number where you taunt your opponent by holding out the ball backwards to them as you high-step into the endzone. He spent the rest of practice running and doing up-downs. He never did that again after that.
I get that the NFL is entertainment, but I think they've let things go way too far.

seriously ? 4 million ? i'd bet the farm he wont be on the roster next year...and his next team wont be paying him anywhere near 4 million a year. he will be lucky to get a 2 year 4 million contract.

Agreed. He may be playing (not playing) himself into a roster spot with the lower salary cap in the NFL next year.
