Good first drive, then the D let down.
What a pass for a TD though for the Panthers.

Pickens and Warren are some bright spots this year on this team.

Pickens was a 2nd round Steal. And Warren a very pleasant UFA bonanza.

Steven Sims seems might be a good slot receiver.

So far this looks like a totally different team. First half though and before "adjustments"

Box scores Steelers had a real good 1st half running the ball everybody avg 4+ yard per carry and a bunch of yards power run games opens up the quick passing game.

Trubisky with the keeper. Ladies and Gents, that is an 11 minute drive to start the 2nd half. That is freaking amazing.

Completely idiotic penalty by Marcus Allen leads to the Panthers keeping the ball and ending up with a field goal.
C'mon Man!

The ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Between BONEHEAD penalties and a FUCKIN' WIDE OPEN middle of the field once again the real team shows up in the 2nd half. WAY TO ADJUST!!!

Glad we held them to a field goal. That was really important.
NOW let's see another long drive!

Extremely smart game played by Mitchell Trubisky - clutch picking up first downs on 3rd down.
Canada's best offensive game plan of the year, very well done.
Congrats Pittsburgh!

Steelers win a good old school type of game every now and then to keep us going.

Really wish that we would utilize Pickens more though. I'm so tired of watching Diontae Johnson run backwards for 5 yards after every catch.

I'll give Diontae credit though, this was probably his most complete game as a professional.
I also would like to see Pickens get more targets. I think next year we will see a ton of Pickett to Pickens.

I'm baffled along with you Lokki about the lack of Pickens targets. It's like leaving the GTO in the garage to drive the Tempest with a slipping clutch. I don't know about you guys but when this game ended it felt to me more like a loss that we barely avoided. The thing is in reality it was one of our better games. Both in planning and execution. I guess it was the bizarre penalties on Johnson and Allen that kept the panthers in the game. I've come to expect stupid stuff from Dionte but that thing with Allen was just plain weird. Why would anyone start something at the other team's bench? I have to wonder if something happened that we'll never get to know. I love "chippy" games like this but only when the team keeps it's composure. This game bordered on ugly and once again ugly is ok if there is composure. We earned the win and as pissed as I was with Mitch and his ints the week before I think he played a smart game. For the first time since taking over at OC Canada was dialed in on what would work. It was also great seeing the Oline push people back out of the way.
One last gripe. WHY CAN'T WE CLOSE THAT GIANT HOLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD? Every team we play lives in the shallow to intermediate middle. If you go back and watch every game we've lost 2 things jump out on defense. We failed to stop the run and let them complete pass after pass to the slot WR and TE in the middle. On the other side it's been ALL CANADA'S FAULT!

Piecing together a 21-play drive that was the longest in the NFL this season, the drive covered 91 yards — actually 106 if penalty yardage is included — and took 11 minutes, 43 seconds off the clock, representing the longest possession for the Steelers in 45 years.
Steelers offense kept the ball for Time of Possession 36:11, Steelers defense why can't you do this every game? Steelers offense
