| Video: http://www.nfl.com/videos/pittsburgh-steelers/0ap2000000320164/Ike-Taylor-I-wouln-t-have-a-problem-moving-to-safety ------------------------ I'm going to really miss Ike when he's gone, and I hope he can stick around a while longer in some capacity. This will probably make Drizz's head explode, but Ike is one of my all-time favorite players. Not just because of his play, but also because he's a great guy. He just has a down-to-Earth quality about him. And I appreciate the relationship he has with Dan Rooney ... it comes across as more father-son than owner-player. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. I like Ike, and I believe he's a key component to the success of our defense. As much as Polamalu has been a factor in the success of the Steelers defense, if it weren't for other players like Ike, Troy wouldn't be able to do what he does.
I was unhappy when the Steelers allowed Woodson to walk, knowing Woodson could have extended his career by moving to safety. Right now, the Steelers have an opportunity to do the same with Taylor, extend his career and allow him to play safety.
AND LET HIM RETIRE A STEELER _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available!

| I know he has played some decent games here and there and earlier in his career even had a good year or two(05, 07), but really his talent has dropped off and his pension for getting beat badly in big plays was more than noticeable. Take that with his combined inability to intercept the ball (14 in 10 YEARS!!), and no, I would rather have a Shamarko back at safety than Ike.
I can't count how many times I have screamed at the TV: IKE TAYLOR...NOOOOO!!!! _________________ Win, Lose, or Tie, I'm a Steeler fan until I DIE!!!

| Comparison for similar years on other 10+ year veteran CB's career interceptions: Asante Samuel: 51 Champ Bailey: 52 Deion Sanders: 53 Charles Woodson: 56 Mel Blount: 57 Ronnie Lot: 63 (Had 10 in one year!!) Dick Lane: 68 Rod Woodson: 71 Ike Taylor: 12 _________________ Win, Lose, or Tie, I'm a Steeler fan until I DIE!!! | |
