The new Madden is set to come out on August 26. I'm excited to see what the new game has to offer on the next gen systems. With no NCAA game this year (or probably ever again), the only choice gamers have to get their football fix is Madden 15. Here is a video of game play and descriptions of some of the new features:
No announcement has been made yet on a release date for a demo.

Madden has been releasing some of the team ratings for this year's game.
Is it just me or does it feel like the Steelers have been shafted in this game? Cardinals, Cowboys are rated higher overall and the Jets are rated the same. Wow.

I watched a twitch today from the guys at EA Sports (basically watched them play the game live). The presentation is so crisp compared to the X360 version. Also, if anyone did team relocation last year, you know that all the jerseys were pretty boring and you were basically choosing a color scheme and logo. However, that is not the case this year. The jerseys look very fresh and creative. Hopefully EA will be posting the video from today's session on YouTube and once they do, I'll upload it here.

I'm certainly not an expert on the Madden games, so I could be completely wrong, but I remember the early games where they were heavy on offense. You could find a couple of plays that worked and defenses couldn't stop them. Essentially, you could run the same 2 or 3 plays all game long and score at will. Over the years, it seems that more emphasis has been placed on defense. It seems harder to move the ball now. Like I said, I'm not a gamer, and that analysis is just based on my limited experience with the games.

You are correct Wally. Often, you could eventually start to figure out what would work and what wouldn't. IMO, last year's game was the first one that started to lock the defense down (even though it seemed WAY too easy for defenders to get interceptions - sometimes they were making better catches than WRs). I absolutely loved last year's Madden because I had the settings to where good teams would provide a challenge, bad teams were easier to beat but still could pull off the upset. I can't wait to see what this year's edition will bring.

I read on the official Madden 15 Twitter that there will NOT be a demo.
Heartbreaking news. This puts the pressure on EA to put out a VERY good and finished product since they won't be getting feedback from the community.

I stand corrected... there will be a demo, just not for free public access:
"Electronic Arts will not be releasing a publicly available demo for its upcoming Madden 15 title, as it has done in years past.
The game maker is, however, offering exclusive full-game availability of Madden 15 to customers of its new EA Access subscription service for five days prior to its release. EA Access is available only on Microsoft's Xbox One for $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, as Sony declined to partner with the publisher."

So I want some feedback from the peoples (you don't even have to like video games to participate):
When I get Madden 15, I will be doing a QB career (where you only control the QB). You get to pick what team you want to go to. Some teams are big HELL NOs (Denver, Patriots**, Bengals, Browns, Ravens, etc.) but some I am a little more torn on. I will not go to the Steelers because I will be playing in another mode with them. Here are the teams I am between:
Eagles- I would love to play the Cowboys twice, but is it wrong to play for another team in PA?
Buccaneers- Cool jerseys and they have Mike Evans and the Mighty Gerbil or whatever his nickname is.
Chiefs- They screwed us last year to get into the playoffs, but having Charles as a RB would be neat.
Dolphins- Fun to play in that division, but the jerseys leave a lot to be desired.
Vikings- I don't mind the Vikings even though the Lions are my second favorite team.
Lions- Having Megatron to throw to would be pretty cool, but it might be a tough task to overtake Stafford.
Cardinals- Steelers west... this would almost be the perfect fit, right? HAHA
Texans- Not big on them but they do have a rockin' defense.
