Man arrested after shooting neighbor over Steelers game argument

PITTSBURGH —A man was arrested Sunday afternoon after shooting his neighbor in the arm in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood.

According to Pittsburgh Public Information Officer Sonya Toler, officers were dispatched to a house in the 100 block of Zara Street at 2 p.m. for the report of a man who had been shot.

Officers discovered a 45-year-old victim who was talking and alert. Paramedics transported the man to UPMC Mercy Hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

I'm a firm supporter of our 2nd amendment rights, but with those rights comes responsibilities. You just don't shoot someone because of an NFL game. Not even a ravens fan.

I think not.

Stuff like this is why Steeler fans have a reputation for taking their fandom too seriously. As a fan base, many of us need to be far more well-rounded, and develop some other hobbies and passions as well. (No, hedonistic pursuits don't count either.)
