| Cam Heyward's season officially came to an end and so did Markus Wheaton's as the Steelers placed the two players on injured reserve Saturday.
Linebacker Bud Dupree was activated from injured reserve and running back Daryl Richardson was promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. http://triblive.com/sports/steelers/11496192-74/injured-reserve-heyward After Bryant's suspension one of the WRs I expected to step up was Wheaton as he hoped to impress some team in his free agency contract run I thought Coates might eventually take over the #2 receiver position but at worst thought Wheaton would be #3. Wheaton never did much of anything after he dropped a TD pass on the opening drive of the Eagles game. Wonder who signs him? Wheaton is done in Pittsburgh. | |

| What happened, did he get hurt falling off the bench?  I really thought Wheaton was going to turn into a solid receiver. His career isn't over, so maybe he still will. | Before the Bryant suspension it would have been hard to convince me that we didn't have the best group. It sure hasn't looked even close. Wheaton has been highly inconsistent when he can even get on the field. Coates has dropped more balls than he caught. DHB is just a backup at this point and Eli Rogers can get you excited at times but he is not tough. Ledarius Green hasn't showed up yet. He dropped a ball last week. JJ (the sloth) catches good but let's face it he is not going to outrun anyone.
The way to slow us down is double or triple cover AB and spy on Bell out of the backfield. The rest will take care of themselves. To bad potential doesn't win games. | |
