I thought today's Iowa vs. Penn State game was a good game.
Penn State tried to give the game away early, then again late. Iowa's defense bailed them out of trouble a few times and put them in good position to win the game but their offense failed to put points on the board when they needed the most.
Penn State's defense gave up some yardage but got stingy when it counted. Offensively, Penn State struggled except in the 3rd and if not for a fumble on the 10 yard line they could've been up by 17. Iowa did a great job defensively late in the 4th with a pick 6, but Penn State was able to close it out.
I'll say this, I like the TE - Fahn (I think that's his name) from Iowa. Big boy who became the go to guy for Iowa late. Not sure why they went away from him, PSU didn't have an answer for him.

You're talking about Noah Fant. He's a beast. We have two extremely good tight ends, both of which are very athletic. Fant honestly gets too much of the credit, I actually think that T.J. Hockenson is better and more polished than Fant. I think both of those guys are going to be picked in the 1st-3rd Rounds of the NFL draft when they decide to come out. I concur though, you said you didn't know why Iowa went away from Fant... Neither do I. Playcalling in the first half was horrible, and the TEs, who are such a huge part of our offense definitely weren't the focal point.
Honestly, and no offense to PSU, PSU played like they wanted to win, but we should've won this game. The reason we lost this game was because of Nate Stanley. He was the worst I've ever seen. He crumpled under the pressure. Missed easy throws, and made stupid mistakes. Late in the game we had a chance to get a touchdown and take the lead and Stanley is inexplicably trying to audible to another play with too little time on the playclock and then tries to throw a pass to Fant who didn't even know the ball was coming. None of the receivers looked like they knew what was going on. Easy interception for PSU, and it cost us the game. Our defense did everything they could to keep us in the game, our QB did everything to lose it.
I'm pretty well used to this crap though, this is what Iowa does anymore. I miss the days of Ricky Stanzi, Adrian Clayborn, Tyler Sash, Pat Angerer, Shonn Greene, etc... Iowa knew how to win back then, and won the big games. Nowadays we beat up the lesser opponents, and lose in embarrassing fashion to conference opponents we have every chance to beat.
PSU played well though, played tough the whole game, and McSorley showed he has a better knack for winning in prime time than Nate Stanley.

I agree that Iowa had a great opportunity to win the game and when it matters most, Stanley failed to lead the offense down the field. Iowa's defense certainly kept the game close and came through for the most part. Penn State finally played the last 5 minutes of a game, and they tightened up when they needed it most.

If Michigan keeps this pace up, that will soon be OSU's season too!
I know OSU is all messed up, well Meyer is sick again
I'm sure he is. Doesn't he get sick any time his team's start sliding? Let's ask the Gator fans!

Well, my Hawks play on Black Friday against hated Nebraska. If they could end this somewhat disappointing regular season with a huge victory over the Big Red Clowns, I think I can be happy.

B1G Championship game,
Northwestern VS Ohio State (-14) Over Under on the game is 61
I'm taking OSU and giving the 14 points and going with Over 61 points on the game.
if the Michigan game was a sample of what OSU's offense is up to now, wow, then NW's defense is in big trouble, NW offense will score points on OSU's defense but OSU's offense will score more points on NW defense then NW offense will score on OSU's defense.
