Seeing a lot of requests for prayers and otherwise for Tunch. No public statement from the family, but this is an interview with him. At 1:45 in, Tunch says he has been diagnosed with ALS.

Just in case anyone doesn't know: Tunch Ilkin was an O-Lineman for the Steelers in the 80's, and currently serves as the Steelers Radio Network color announcer.

Tunch Ilkin has been diagnosed with ALS. He plans to 'fight,' and he's already begun. With gusto.

I really hate hearing this. I'm a big fan of his coverage on SNR and Steelers games.

a heck of lineman back in his playing days and a great Steelers guy hate to hear the news of his ill health.
