Well the Haskins era in Washington is done. Add him to the list of NFL flops, Ryan leaf, JaMarcus Russell, Pryor, Troy Smith, Manziel, now Haskins

What a waste. How you could play on the same team as Alex Smith and not learn something from him is beyond me. If Haskins would've just tried to emulate Smith's poise, and professionalism he might've fared better.

Steelers have just signed Hashins to a 4 year contract the amount of the contract was not disclosed at this time. ln the interview after the signing Tomlin and Colbert talked how they have a year to coach Haskins up to be the Steelers starting QB after the forced retirement of Big Ben after the 2021 season.
Happy knew year everyone.

im not knocking OSU QB's ...troy smith was a heisman winner...they just suck at the NFL level. at least according to history they have never put a good QB in the NFL. even my lowly maryland terps have neil odonnel, sean hill ,boomer esiason, and frank reich to throw out there...OSU...nobody. when kent graham is your alumni that lasted the longest in the NFL, that is a bad sign. justin fields will probably be the next NFL big bust. i wouldnt bet against it. but i would bet that out of lawrence, fields, willson, trask, lance, and jones , that 3 , more likely 4, of those will be bust. i wouldnt want fields or lance , and either trask or jones or both will be busts. if jones had trasks size and arm strength he would be a star. if trask had jones accuracy and decision making he would be a star. if one of those two lands with the right team and coach they may have a chance.

l know just f ing around l'm an Ohio State fan and l know they haven't recruited the best pro type QBs talent wise, Art Schlichter was an NFL talented QB but his gambling addiction killed that. l think Ryan Day is going to turn that around. Woody Hayes built his teams around a smashmouth running game and great defense it wasn't until Urban Meyer became headcoach that Ohio Srare really open up their offense.

Sign him to a 1 year deal league minimum and see what he can do next preseason. The kid got a shitty deal in Washington. Yeah he made a stupid mistake with a mask and strippers... build up our O-line with some draft picks and FA and let him sit behind Ben and MR for a year.
That kid has serious talent and a great arm. He isn't pin point accurate but neither is Ben. Bring him in on the cheap let Tomlin sit his ass down and tell him he is on a short leash and to work hard and learn the system. Tell him ZERO off field issues...
We have to start thinking about the future at QB get a guy like him or Rosen on the cheap that is young and put them in a position to be a quality player. Too often these young QBs are given shitty teams and expected to work miracles in 1 or 2 years and that is unrealistic. There are good young QBs out there that got fucked over by garbage organizations we need to be able to find one on the cheap that might help fix our QB issues of the future and Haskins might be that guy.

At Ohio State Haskins did make all the throws and on point he was a little lazy with all that talent but the coaches got on him and he did worked harder but hadn't signed a multi million dollar contract yet.

i agree with the point your making. i said the same things before the season when i thought they should give rosen or jamies winston a looksy. i mean tannenhill was called a bust not long ago. drew brees wasnt exactly tearing it up his first few years with the chargers. BUT...im not feelin haskins. i would still rather look at winston or darnold if they are available. get em a whole team of QB coaches to work with em...sure winston threw 30 picks, but he also threw 33 td's and over 5k yards. Ben threw his fair share of picks in arians offense too. i bet rudolf or dobbs would also throw 30 picks if they threw the ball 626 times.

Yeah Winston or Darnold but not Haskins. I think he has talent but a poor work ethic like Russell. He will bounce around for awhile and then be gone.
