| Posted by Michael David Smith on September 16 The Steelers have complained about the Ravens playing dirty on Sunday, but it was a Steelers player who has been fined for a personal foul in the Ravens’ 35-7 win. Safety Troy Polamalu was fined $15,000 for a horse-collar tackle on Ravens running back Ricky Williams. Players often complain about it when their paychecks are docked, but Polamalu declined to do so. “I’m not a big fan of people being really vocal about the fines,” he said. However, Polamalu did want Williams to know there was no harm intended. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/16/polamalu-fined-15000-for-horse-collaring-ricky-williams/ ---------------------------------------------------- Seriously? A $15,000 fine? Are they going to start fining players for facemask penalties? How much will a holding penalty cost? Sheeeeeesh. But the more important point is this ... I still haven't heard anything about a fine for the Ravens player who horse-collar tackled Antonio Brown on a kick return. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. That's because the Ravens player didn't start a fight that Ray Rice had to finish _________________ Wallace108: Jon, how the hell do you expect any of us to ever follow your posts? | Ayanbadejo apparently gets fined for horse-collar tackleNFL spokesman confirms linebacker sanctioned for hit vs. PIT 12:08 p.m. EDT, September 16, 2011 Pittsburgh Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu confirmed with Pittsburgh reporters that he had been fined for his horse-collar tackle of Ravens running back Ricky Williams in the Ravens' 35-7 thrashing on Sunday. The amount of the fine was $15,000. The Ravens' Brendon Ayanbadejo is apparently getting similar treatment. The linebacker was sanctioned for his horse-collar tackle of Steelers kick returner Antonio Brown in the first quarter, according to an NFL spokesman via his Twitter account. In response to a query about whether the player who had tackled Brown had also been fined for his horse-collar tackle, Greg Aiello wrote, "Yes, he did." Personally, I feel NEITHER guy should have been fined. They weren't flagrant and this fining bullshit is getting out of hand. Screw Goodell! _________________ -"I stand corrected... | I don't agree with the fines either necessarily, but it's an illegal tackle, so it is what it is. Glad they gave dudewhosenameicantpronounceandwonteventrytospell a fine too. That's really all I was looking for in this situation, equal treatment. _________________ | |

Oh, I'm glad they gave him one too if they were going to fine Troy, but where do they draw the line with fining penalties? I didn't think those were intentional or overly aggressive fouls to have been finable. Seems like Goodell is just pulling his dick out and asking, "How do you like this? Suck on it!". _________________ -"I stand corrected... But I absolutely and wholeheartedly fart in the general direction of almost every other thing you have posted to this point."- | |

| Oh, and I totally forgot about Taylor getting a 15k fine too (for headbutting). I'm not completely sure why it's 15k for a headbutt and 10k for an uppercut (maybe cause he's using his helmet?), but yeah...Ike needs to knock that shit off. I remember him doing the same thing last year, and he was lucky as hell to get away with it. All that energy everyone spent on fighting and being pissed should have been used to play the damn game. _________________ | |
