NFL free agency has been upon us since 4 p.m. Tuesday, and the Steelers have done nothing.
Well, except schedule tomorrow’s visit with free-agent back DeAngelo Williams. The Eagles are overhauling their entire roster by way of assembling a University of Oregon alumni team, and the Steelers are scheduling visits.
Will slow and steady win the race? Regardless, that’s the Steelers’ way.
James Harrison can be their last-minute re-acquisition for PR’s sake. Yo, coach Tomlin: Don’t forget your selfie stick!
There’s no right or wrong way to approach the maelstrom of NFL free agency. If the Steelers aren’t doing enough, at least their approach is tried and true.

"their approach is tried and true." Every year we moan and groan about the lack of signing "quality" free agents. Yet the Steelers have been a relatively constant contender for the past two decades. During the era of free agency, the Steelers consistently have been one of the best teams in the league. Their approach is tried and true. As a Steelers fan, free agency always sucks. But the team's success speaks for itself. _________________ If you're going to be a smart ass, you'd better be smart. Otherwise, you're just an ass. | |
