Steelers' James Harrison confirms he'll play in 2016

James Harrison will play another NFL season.

The soon-to-be 38-year-old pass rusher confirmed Monday he would return for his 14th season, with an "I'm Back" picture on Instagram....

Love Harrison but I hope Chikillo can get some play time if he does well in camp and preseason. Got to see if he can take over now that his rookie year is done.

Harrison will take any role with Steelers if it means 1 more ring

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison thinks he might be able to play until he's 40, but at 38, he's just focused on earning another ring before his playing days are done.

Harrison led the team last season with 5.5 sacks despite only starting one game, but said he's prepared to take on any role in the Steelers' defense in 2016 if it means earning the third Super Bowl title of his career.

"I want to be used however they want to use me ... I need another ring," Harrison told reporters Wednesday. "That's the only number I care about."

Harrison flirted with the idea of retirement before announcing his decision to return for a 14th season in the NFL at the start of May. However, the linebacker now feels like he could play until he's 40.

"If you ask me that now, yeah (I can). But that's something I'll deal with. I don't know if I want to go that far, even though it's only a couple of years away."

That's the attitude I was referring to in my earlier post.  He's a real leader.
