| Jarvis Jones? Where has he been all season? When I saw him rush he was going way outside just like Jones... no major impact plays nothing... | |

| He had 6 sacks and 7 tackles for a loss.
For reference Watt had 7 sacks and 5 tackles for loss.

But Watt is asked to play more pass coverage than Dupree. Also, Watt played his rookie season and Dupree has now played three seasons. Dupree was pick 22, Watt 30. Dupree should have had a better season than TJ. And like SteelerFreak said Dupree is always going outside. He absolutaly has no inside moves and offensive linemen know that. When watching tape you see them constantly anticipate on an outside move. That said, Dupree is still way better than Jarvis Jones. | |

| He's better than Jones that's true but not good enough. On one play yesterday he turned inside to stop a run. Why can't he develop a technique to get inside on pass rushes? Is Porter not working with him? I know we bitched about Harrison not being a mentor but this is Porter's job. | |

| Dupree needs to be more consistent. He was in more one-on-one situations, and played less in coverage than Watt. He should've had better numbers. He'll make a play here or there, and then disappear for long periods of time. He's probably just a notch above Jarvis Jones. _________________ "Success isn't owned, it's leased and the rent is due every day." - TJ Watt | |

| I still say this is on Porter. Toughness is great but technique wins games. He's not teaching that and it shows. Just like with Burns refusing to turn around and track the ball. Or trying to knock down a pass from behind the receiver. If that was played right he had a chance for an INT. This is Lake's responsibility to teach this. Defense wins championships is still true. Every defense has a weakness (except back in the Steel Curtain era ) The DC has to work with LB and DB coaches to put these guys in the right position based on their strengths and this is not happening. We have a HC who can't control his players partly because he keeps saying the tweets and selfishness "are not a distraction" They are and he plays right into it talking about our "rematch " with the Patriots*. Chuck Noll said it best when asked how he felt about playing in our first SB. He said: "it's our next game"!!!! Someone should point this out to Tomlin. | |

| Steelers' Bud Dupree waits for word on 5th-year option
Monday, Jan. 15, 2018
Part of Bud Dupree's plans for early this offseason are to take some time off to focus on his non-football businesses.
“Just try to make some money off the field,” the outside linebacker said Monday.
But it will be a big decision his employers need to make that will affect Dupree's finances even more. And Dupree said that impending decision will be on his mind — perhaps for as long as throughout the spring.
The 2015 first-round pick is entering his fourth NFL season, and under the terms of the league's current collective bargaining agreement the Steelers own an option for his fifth season that they must exercise by a May 3 deadline.
