Thoughts thus far

-Ben improving with each throw, making up for his gloves miscues early.
-Dwyer is running hard, the line isn't opening up any holes.
-Receivers having trouble getting open downfield.

Looking a lot like the team that took the field last week. Hopefully the second half produces some points and a warmed up Ben.

Ben is NOT getting any help from his receivers today. Wallace can get open once in a spell, and can't catch. Brown and Sanders aren't getting open, and to boot they're getting blatantly held 10 yards off the line .

I'm probably a bit behind you on my stream (just saw Brown's missed catch)....this crowd is going to tear apart the stadium soon though lol. This game is just awful so far.

The offensive is tenfold worse than it was last week. If Charlie was in there he'd of gotten knocked out of the game in the first quarter. I've been saying for weeks now that Ben's first game back will provide an ugly first half, and since we're not a first half team in the first place, we'll have to win it in the second half.

I expect a better second half. Receivers not getting open, line not blocking. Ben can't warm up and find a rhythm. I said it'd be ugly and it is, but on that note, we're driving the ball as I type. Be right back, lol.

Nice work by Ben. Wallace caught another pass with his chest. Good thing no one was around him and his hands didn't need to pull the ball him.

No one was getting open. It took Ben calling his own plays to get the ball down the field.

What people need to remember is: At Halftime of last weeks game, we we're down 13-6. This week, our QB is back after three weeks and he's rusty. I expected a slow first half, and that's what I got.

People will say "If having Ben in hindered our offense, why have him in?". Well, rust doesn't magically fall off on the sidelines. Regardless of what you do, if you don't play for three weeks, you WILL be rusty, and the only way to knock it off is by throwing the ball. I don't want to hear the "Charlie should have started." bullshit.

It's clear to me Ben isn't injured, and he's making some GREAT throws considering he's sore and out of rhythm. He'll have a better second half, as will the offense.

If the Chargers get a TD here, I'm going to go ahead and call this game over, barring some sort of miracle. This is probably the worst I've seen them this year.

And there it is.

Think I'll go bake some cookies, put the tree up, and watch some Christmas Vacation...this is just depressing.

Brown didn't drop it. He made the mistake of not dropping ON it. Maybe if we had some decent field position for cripes sake.

Anyone who wanted Charlie starting this game wants him starting in the playoffs, too. Ben is healthy, and he won't sit healthy. He's sore, and that will not go away. EVERYONE is sore in December. I believe we lose just the same regardless of who plays. Defense played one quarter.
