If I remember correctly, the only reason Rivers came back so quick was because it was during the playoffs. If the reports are accurate, it is still great news though! I say let Ben heal until we play Dallas on November 13th, because that gives him almost an entire month. I am confident we can beat the Ratbirds on their turf without Ben this season. Baltimore has issues of their own right now...

I heard that the surgery went well. Let's see if Ben drinks his milk and has a quick recovery. I don't care about losing to NE this week (if we do) as long as we beat them in the playoffs.

As much as I hate to say it, I don't see another Patriots* loss anywhere on the schedule. Patriots* could very well be 15-1 heading into the playoffs. The road to the Super Bowl will be going through Foxborough [again].

The only downside to losing this game is tiebreakers.

Hmm... I haven't seen any report on this.  Was it ESPN?  I feel like they try to ramp things up.

That's fine. Go root for another team then. Where did fair weather fans like you come from? I never heard this much negativity in the last 35 years from fans even when we had losing seasons.

He hopes to be back after the team’s bye Oct. 30 to play in Baltimore Nov. 6 against the Ravens. But he knows that might be impractical because he’s 34 and because of his medical history....

“Doc says my knee looked good, but there still was some stuff in there from when I had my bone bruise last season in St. Louis,” Roethlisberger said Tuesday from his North Hills home. “He said that might keep me out a little longer than just a simple meniscus tear. Maybe an extra week or so. But there’s no way to put an exact timetable on it. It all depends on my pain and how I feel.”

Steelers president and co-owner Art Rooney II told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport at the Fall League Meeting on Wednesday that Big Ben's rehab could be anywhere from two to six weeks.

"I think that two to three is what you can characterize as best-case, but that's what we're hoping for," Rooney said. "Two to six is probably a fair range that somebody can put on it."...

Everything is speculation at this point.

Obviously, you can never guarantee how someone will heal so maybe we get the 2 week version or the 6 week version. I don't care what anyone says RIGHT NOW as we knew he was gonna be out this week and next week. After that, let's talk about the progress his is making. Until then, BR7 should just keep drinking the leche.
