for a team that is up and down from year to year, the Ravens will always get a lot of talk because they are part of the megacity from NY to Philly to Baltimore and DC. Big market gets big talk. _________________ Have you ever wondered what you would look like frozen in carbonite?

Eh to be fair to the Ravens, I think they're pretty consistently good with the exception of last year. Now that said, i'm surprised how little talk our team has gotten. Really rubs me the wrong way that the guys are NFL network were too busy being overgrown frat boys laughing at Willie Beavers name to offer any analysis of our fourth round pick.

He's not exceptionally fast, but his 4.7 pro day time was pretty slow for a receiver. Returns punts without fear and has pretty good hands. Never hurts to throw something out there in the 7th round.

| My son was just ranting all day that the Steelers needed to pick Tyler Matakevich. When they were on the clock for their last pick he started the "Matakevich" chant. Thought he was going to jump through the roof when Matakevich's name popped up as the pick. He's a slow thumper. He's got the Steelers attitude for sure, but not sure how he fits in (outside of special teams) given the lack of speed. Well, he had a ton of tackles at Temple. Kind reminds me of Butkus ... not the fastest guy, but when he gets there the ball carrier is going down. I met him at this year's Bronko Nagurski awards. Although he was very considerate (took time to chat and sign an autograph for my son), he definitely had that fire-in-the-eyes look. I just got the sense he wanted to jump up and start tearing into some flesh. Glad the Steelers took a shot with him. Welcome to the Black and Gold Tyler!!! | |

Saw someone mention that he had a broken hand at the combine. Not sure though. I do hear he can return quite well.

| 6th rounder Travis Feeney is a very interesting athlete. He's very lean and ran a quick 40 at the combine (4.5). Almost has the look of a taller Shazier. Not sure if they'll utilize him as an edge rusher or move him to the middle. His scouting report indicated multiple shoulder surgeries, so that's a concern. Hopefully that's behind him and he kicks ass for the Steelers! | |

At 6'4", 230lbs and 40" vertical, this kid is an explosive athlete. Converted Safety to weakside LB, I think he replaces the special teams prowess of Garvin and they either work him with the ILB's or he leans back down to 225 lbs and is with the Safety group. He could end up being a guy that plays in nickel package as the 2nd ILB in passing situations, which might be more of a dime look such as they used Robert Golden in some last year.

Glad the Steelers took a shot with him. Welcome to the Black and Gold Tyler!!! I love the Matakevich pick. He is instinctive and smart between the tackles. Just makes tackles and is always around the football. Wont have the speed to beat quick RB's to the edge, but in a league with a lot of inside zone, he is a guy that scrapes thru the wash to get to the RB inside. I think he ends up making the team as the #4 ILB behind Timmons, Shazier, Williams and contributes on special teams.
