think they should see what Bell's prognosis is and how his rehab is going before making a decision like that...but i'm a big Buckeyes fan and wouldn't mind seeing what Zeke could do wearing black 'n' gold when he's done wearing scarlet 'n' grey

Yeah this guy sucks and bell will definitely be 100% to start 2016.

I'm definitely not saying Bell can be counted on. Who knows with those knee injuries, 2 season enders in under a year. But the solution is not to blow another 1st rounder on a RB, however good Elliot may be. Not this year anyway.
Obviously most people want to see us go secondary early and we will be in good position to in 2016. I think with how we keep seeming to squeak by with guys off the waiver wire at CB, that safety should definitely be the biggest concern. Lots of good safety prospects with both FSU safeties (Ramsey and Andrews), Jalen Mills of LSU, and Senquez Golson's teammate Conner out of Ole Miss all potential first rounders. There will certainly be a safety with a first round pedigree there for us when we pick, very similar to how strong the pass rushers were last year and how Dupree fell to us.
My under the radar guy I love is Jeremy Cash out of Duke. This kid is a tremendous in-the-box safety and an absolute baller. I'm a VT fan so I watch a lot of ACC games and this kid has been a monster for Duke. Right now many consider him a Day 2 pick but I have a feeling he'll be a first rounder when all is said and done. He definitely has the athleticism and pedigree, and for those concerned with him being from Duke because "lol ACC," he was originally recruited to Ohio State before he transferred.
If we do go CB, the pickings will be slimmer, with only a couple top guys in this draft and Hargreaves certainly a top 10 pick, but my obligatory VT pick Kendall Fuller has a great chance of falling to us. He has been widely considered up there with Hargreaves throughout his VT career and was also in line to be a top 10 pick until he was injured early this year and missed almost the entire season. He is a true shutdown CB with good size, instincts, athleticism, toughness, and comes from a factory that churns out NFL defensive backs. His brother Kyle was the Bears' first pick in 2014 and many thought the Steelers might take him...Kendall is a much better CB than Kyle and that is no slight to Kyle. Pretty much the only concern is injuries, as he has been banged up every year, but for the Steelers, what else is new?

I can't really make a good argument to take Elliot early, we could always pick a rb in 2017 when D-Wil will more than likely be gone.

I know he's a JR but should he choose to enter the draft after this season, he's been a stellar three year starter for my Hawkeyes. He's got great coverage skills, and he's a ballhawk. He currently has 8 interceptions on the season for Iowa.
@iowasteeler927 King looks awesome. I think we need to start a campaign for him to land with the steelers somehow.
hes already wearing our uniform lol

He's playing his way to a 2nd or 1st Round draft pick. I kind of hope he stays another season at Iowa honestly, but after the success he's had in his first three years, I could see him leaving for the NFL.
I would compare him to a Chris Harris as far as the way he plays the position, and the size and intangibles.

I would take King in the first round, him couple with Golson coming back we would might be able to better defend the pass game.
Take the best safety available 2nd round
Use the rest of the picks on the secondary as well.
I really cant see a reason we would need to adjust the offense at all. We always could pick up a QB in the late rounds and keep our fingers crossed that we find Ben's heir. I don't think it would be a bad a deal for like a 4th or 5th round qb to learn from for the next 5 years, then take over. Like Farve to Rogers thats what I wanna see, but thats still in the distant future.

I don't see them taking a CB high. They might not even draft one. As of now there is 5 CBs on the roster that are 25 and younger who they like and are developing for the future.
Gay, Cockrell, Blake, Golson, Grant. Those 5 will most likely be the CBs on the team next year. (Hope they keep Boykin's)

While you would think so, Gay, Blake, and Boykin are ALL UFA this offseason, and Cockrell is ERFA. Surely one or two of those guys will be back (Cockrell seems like a good candidate for a bigger extension if he finishes the year the way he has started), but I would be surprised to see 3 or especially all 4 of them on the team next year.
Should Gay in particular choose to chase a bigger contract again (taking into account his age and current salary I could definitely see this happening), I could see another early CB investment.

I don't see Gay leaving, I believe he'll be back on a 2 year deal. Blake will get a 1 year deal for the vet min, so will Cockrell who will become a RFA in 2017(he'll get a bigger contract then if he continues to play well)

Yeah I see them sticking with what they've got. My guess is they go after a safety, and some defensive line players for depth behind Heyward, McClendon, and Tuitt. I expect the secondary to look largely the same next season, and I don't think they're going to draft much in the way of offense, perhaps a tackle they feel they can groom with the possibility of Beachum not sticking with the team.

Starting NFL cornerbacks don't sign for vet minimum. Blake will demand much more than that.

I actually really like Ross Cockrell, he plays smart and I like that. I would like to see what Golson has, I wasn't a fan of the pick but obviously the steelers took him in round 2 for a reason. Doran Grant seems like he has potential too. Gay should stick around too. I'm fairly happy with what we have, I think we will see what we have in Golson next year and go from there. I am sick of seeing Blake getting burned. I think we should keep what we have at cb and keep loading up our defensive line/offensive line in the draft, and invest in a safety.

I really like those first three picks. That said, I'm a big believer in Villanueva. Replace Murphy with a LG, and we have ourselves a deal.
Wait... even better: trade the R2 pick for Mike Pouncey.
Game. Set. Match!!!

Are the Dolphins low on Mike for some reason? I would do that deal in a heartbeat but I find it hard to believe they would even give that a serious thought.
