Week 5 - Browns at Steelers

I'm kicking this off. I just watched the Browns handle the Colts. The Browns are legit. this year. Steelers need to bring their A game. This week's effort won't cut it.

And there is a certain former Brown on our roster who will be targeted by Baker-Mayfield.

Biggest game so far...obviously. Browns have 21st ranked defense, 14th ranked offense to Steelers 3 defense and 15 offense.

Really want the Steelers to put them away and basically put them 2 games back in the division. I do think it's going to be a tough game. 3 of their wins though have come against Wash, Indy, and Cincy. Hopefully can keep their running under control. Pitt Post Gazette is reporting Mayfield has a rib injury.

let me put this game into context...the browns have more wins than the steelers other 4 opponents combined. 3-15-1...is the record of the last 4.
im keeping my expectations low until i see them actually put together a good game and get a convincing win.

Veteran former All-Pros Maurkice Pouncey (foot) and David DeCastro (abdomen) left Sunday’s 38-29 win against the Philadelphia Eagles because of injury. Pouncey was replaced by J.C. Hassenauer at center, and rookie Kevin Dotson spelled DeCastro at right guard.

Coach Mike Tomlin will update the statuses of Pouncey and DeCastro on Tuesday, but if neither can play, that would mean that the Steelers’ three starters from center to the right on their offensive line will enter Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns with a combined six NFL starts.

Stefanski seems optimistic that Mayfield, who was checked in the medical tent during the fourth quarter, will play Sunday when the Browns (4-1) visit the unbeaten Steelers (4-0).

The Browns’ secondary took another hit as safety Ronnie Harrison, who returned an interception for a touchdown on Sunday, was placed in concussion protocol.

Also, Stefanski said cornerback Greedy Williams will be placed on injured reserve with a nerve injury in his shoulder.

I think this will be our biggest test yet.On D we have to stop the run,keep Mayfield in the pocket and cover both Landry & OBJ. I have a feeling this is going to require a bend but don't brake strategy.We can't let them convert on 3rd down like we did the Eagles and we sure as hell can't leave the middle wide open.

On the other side Ben is going to have to continue to get the ball out quickly and we have to be able to run on them whether it's by committee or not. I look for Claypool to be at least a involved as last week or more.

Our STs has been playing pretty good. I would love to see Ray Ray take one to the house.

Clark isn't wrong. Way way way too many 3rd and 15+ conversions happening on this D and it's a huge problem.

dink and dunk Ben gets rid of the ball quick, get the running game going, long offensive drives keep the Browns offense off the field.

Don't expect Browns to lie down on their laurels. As really facing it seems a much better prepared Browns due in part to Kevin Stefanski

I agree, while this game is at Heinz, these guys would be foolish to take their opponent lightly. The mentality needs to be that we need to crush every opponent that we play. 60 minutes of hell, every game. No letting up.

This defense has worried me though. I'm hoping that they actually get to play some man coverage and we don't just let guys like Hooper, Landry, and OBJ shred our zone scheme. Last week was embarrassing from a coverage standpoint.

It looks like DeCastro and Dionta Johnson out vs. Browns. Steelers activate Deon Cain from practice squad.

imho Dotson did a better against Philly.

It's week 6 though.. :)

It should be a good game. I'm hoping that we come out with the W and stay on top of the division.

Up 10 and got the ball back with great FP time to start stacking points on the Stains...

Like this start but need to stay aggressive and put our foot on their jugular.

Need to open things up a bit offensively. Browns are definitely challenging the underneath stuff.

Haden... wrap up or shove Hunt outta bounds dude. They should've never gotten that first down.
