Don't forget Andrew Luck, or even Tony Romo now. By the way, if Ben Roethlisberger led the NFL in passer rating last season on only 435 pass attempts, do you think people would be impressed with the rating, or just ridicule him for having a low number of pass attempts?

Yup. Prepare to see Rodgers well above Big Ben's laughable #26 spot on the NFL top 100.

Wait, you're telling me there are 25 players better than Ben Roethlisberger?!
I'd like to see all sorts of quarterbacks higher on the "Top 100," but none more than Ben Roethlisberger. Coming off a campaign that saw him set a career high in passing yards and tie his single-season mark for touchdowns, Big Ben lands at No. 26? Idiocy.
Roethlisberger finds himself behind a pair of stellar Browns players in Joe Haden ( No. 23) and Joe Thomas ( No. 25), but where would Cleveland be were either one of those men swapped out for a franchise arm like Ben?
The Steelers are in the playoff hunt every December because of their dynamic, tough-as-nails signal-caller. Roethlisberger could be 20 spots higher and I wouldn't mind at all. Maybe the Top 100's precious player-voters will get this one right next time around.

| This is funny to me, because a friend of mine recently told me he thought Big Ben was overrated.
I asked why, willing to hear some constructive criticism about Ben, because my friend isn't just some dumbass.
He says, "He's overrated because he folds under pressure and is terrible when he's on the run. He's only good at long plays when the play breaks down, and his short plays always go awry."
Big Ben is arguably one of the most clutch QBs in NFL history, if not THE most clutch. And the past few years, he's blended his natural, freakish talent with refined ability and a scheme set up for him to perform at his best.
With Martavis Bryant set to explode, Big Ben could light up the league in his final years, and being able to get the ball out faster and more efficiently thanks to what will likely be one of the best offenses for years to come, Big Ben could add a few more years to his career. _________________

| FOX sports thinks ben is nothing special, even off a career year in which he led the league in passing yards. http://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/nfl-pittsburgh-steelers-news/2015/7/7/8909407/foxsports-com-says-tony-romo-russell-wilson-andrew-luck-and-eli - Quote :
- FOXSports.com says Tony Romo, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck and Eli Manning are all better than Ben Roethlisberger
8. Ben Roethlisberger
Much like Eli Manning, he has won two Super Bowls (and played in one more, unlike Eli) and is somewhat underrated. He's 106-52 in his career and is coming off career highs in passing yards (4,952) and touchdowns (32) while throwing just nine interceptions, a career low in a season where he made 16 starts. His 10-5 playoff record is also excellent.
Take a look at the Top 10:
10. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons 9. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers 8. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers 7. Eli Manning, New York Giants 6. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos 5. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys 4. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks 3. Tom Brady, New England Patriots* 2. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts 1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
they forgot drew brees, so obviously they think ben is only 9th best.

Yup. Prepare to see Rodgers well above Big Ben's laughable #26 spot on the NFL top 100. At least the 'players' (as supposedly only between 25-30% really vote on the top 100) got it right with having JJ Watt #1. He got ripped off on the MVP award too because the 'media/sports writers' have a massive bias towards Rodgers. Personally I think Ben/Bell/Brown should have all been in the top 10 if not at the worst top 15 after last season which this is supposed to be based on but it never is.

| CBS Analyst picks Ben Roethlisberger as an MVP sleeper
Kirk Larrabee - Jul 8
Big Ben for MVP?
Given the offense that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has this season, he could very well find himself in the type of situation that would make him an MVP candidate.
CBS Sports writer Will Brinson has Roethlisberger on his list of MVP sleepers for the coming season.
"It's entirely possible — likely? — 2014 was the best season of Roethlisberger's career," Brinson wrote. "He managed to take a step in Todd Haley's offense, combining an impressive mental approach to the game with his already ridiculous physical skills. Roethlisberger looked like a quarterback who could easily manage to mature well, something that hardly seemed likely when you think about some of the hits and the style of play that marked the early part of his career...

| It doesn't matter how good Ben plays. Rodgers could hand off in all 16 games and never throw a pass, but becasue he stepped on the field he's getting the MVP award.
Steve Wyche on NFL Network last night goes JJ Watt played simply amazing but I would have picked Rodgers. He gives no reason as to why but that basically tells me he like all the other writers just pick Rodgers because they have too. By Rodgers winning it this past season being undeserved the MVP award holds no value anymore as its now based on popularity.

| FANTASY - BEN ROETHLISBERGER POISED FOR MASSIVE SEASON!!By Rich Winter July 15, 2015 Ben Roethlisberger passed for 4952 yards with 32 TD's and 9 picks in 2015...My gut tells me this is the year to grab Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger early in the fantasy football draft. While the experts are taking him off the fantasy board anywhere from No. 8 - No. 11, one look at Big Ben's stats from a year ago and Ben Roethlisberger is right there after Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers. Ben Roethlisberger 2014 - 4952 yards, 32 TD's and 9 interceptions. While those numbers are alarmingly good, this Fantasy guy thinks they're going to be even better this year. Projections for Ben Roethlisberger - 5000 yards, 38 TD's. Rankings: No. 3 QB in Fantasy Football - Depends on your league and how many Steeler fans are in it as to where Ben should be coming off the board. If, you're able to hold off until the 4th or 5th round an grab this guy, WOW! to read rest of article: http://panicbutton.sportsblog.com/posts/2836721/fantasy---ben-roethlisberger-poised-for-massive-season--.html | |
