| 1st Kendall Sheffield, CB, Ohio State, 6' tall so he has some length, OSU defense is man coverage only and he practice against some of the faster WRs in college football.
2nd Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State, 6' 1" 208lbs faster than fast can take the ball to the house.
3rd Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State,
free agent pick up Deone Bucannon ILB, Arizona Cardinals, sideline to sideline ILB.

| With all the help this team needs on defense, there is no reason to touch an offensive player (save maybe RB) until the 4th round. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available! | |

Steelers need a quality RB backup for Conner. you can't have to many WRs in todays they don't any defense NFL. I'm also thinking go defense in the 2nd round and WR in the 4th round, you know how the Steelers draft none of these pick will be right.

Agreed. This was my mock prior to the season starting, so if I were to do another mock (which I will in the future) I would probably have CB at the top of our needs. It is my honest opinion that the Steelers should go all in on drafting one of the top corners in the 2019 draft. Someone like Greedy Williams out of LSU, or Trayvon Mullen out of Clemson. We need a true, shutdown corner. Haden is pretty damned good, but he's getting a little long in the tooth, and is injury prone. We need someone that can literally erase WRs. My second biggest area of need having seen what I've seen this season, would be OLB. Bud Dupree simply isn't cutting it for me. Maybe as a rotational pass rusher, but as a starter, we could be doing better. I feel like a lot of the time the pass rush is basically relying on Watt and Heyward to make things happen. A DE with pass rushing abilities to add to the rotation might not hurt either. I would also like to see what we have in Ola Adeniyi. He should be back from injury here in the future, I think he needs to see some playing time as a pass rusher. _________________ "Success isn't owned, it's leased and the rent is due every day." - TJ Watt

Someone opposite Haden who can make the plays, cover 1-on-1, and get up & get the ball. I like the linebacker positions (although I'm not familiar with the players), but I believe one of those has to be a DB. I'd really like to see them take a corner or a FS in the first three rounds. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available!

This version of my mock I was kind of thinking that maybe they'd try to get someone in free agency since we have cap room, so Williams in the 4th Round is a depth/project type of pick. Someone like Ronald Darby would be nice (though he did tear his ACL), or maybe even Bradley Roby. I agree though, corner is our most glaring need. If they don't try to go after a free agent in the offseason then they definitely need to try and get a CB earlier in the draft. _________________ "Success isn't owned, it's leased and the rent is due every day." - TJ Watt

| Need a Shazier like replacement at ILB if there really is any out there. We need someone on the other end of TJ to bookend and bring pressure.
I thought both of our CBs played well Sensebaugh had a pretty decent season over all if you look at his stats. Haden played his ass off for us. A CB in the third round could help but let him compete for a starter spot.
1. IlLB or OLB 2. OLB or ILB 3. CB 4. TE unless they bring back James. 5. OL 6. DL 7. WR or RB

| Me personally, I think the Steelers should go all out and try to trade up and get Josh Allen out of Kentucky. He's the player we wanted Bud Dupree to be, and has a ceiling as high as Kalil Mack's if he pans out in the NFL. If the Steelers want to win now, then they need to do something bold. _________________ "Success isn't owned, it's leased and the rent is due every day." - TJ Watt | |

Watching the Penn State game yesterday, Allen was all over the field and created too much chaos for the PSU O-line to handle. Even if he wasn't getting to McSorley, he was creating enough disruption for the rest of his team to create plays. _________________ 60 MIN 53 MEN 1 NATION STEELERS NATION I am the MAN that created the MYTH that started the LEGEND Don't choose good when greatness is available!

Get him! the way Watt played this year those 2 as bookends. the down 3 linemen this year were getting good push inside this seaon. that would be great if the Steelers had 2 Watt type edge rusher with the Steelers 3 down linemen it could be Steelers are going to these 5 players every play and you stop them.

I wish. The Steelers have traded up in the past to get a guy like Polamalu. I think Josh Allen is going to be a monster in the NFL and we need someone to line up opposite of Watt that can absolutely terrorize opposing QBs. Having unblockable OLBs in the past (Harrison and Woodley) was a huge reason why our defense was so great during those years. _________________ "Success isn't owned, it's leased and the rent is due every day." - TJ Watt

| My first mock of the season:
1.20: Mack Wilson, ILB, Alabama: We have some big needs and a LB that can cover is one of them. He has rare pass coverage instincts and is one of 2 LB's (the other being Devin White) who I really like in this draft. He hasn't great speed, but has a knack for the ball. I believe his draft stock will only rise.
2.20: Chase Winovich, Edge rusher, Michigan: Reminds me a bit of T.J. Watt as one of his characteristics is that he has a relentless motor. He never gives up on plays, has good speed off the edge, can dip under blockers and is explosive.
3.20: Joejuan Williams, CB, Vanderbilt: He has excellent size and speed to match big receivers.
4.20: Max Scharping, G, Northern Illinois: If munchack stays we give him a nice new project he can work with. Scharping played RT in college, but will move to guard in the NFL.
6.2 (from Oakland): David Montgomery, RB, Iowa Stata: A lot of RB's can be taken here, but I like the fact that Montgomery is a good pass catcher.
6.20: Dontavius Russell, NT, Auburn: We need a new back-up for Hargrave.
7.5 (from Tampa Bay): Mitch Wishnowsky, P, Utah: Bye bye Berry.

| Noah Fant been hearing some buzz about him and the Steelers I do watch some Iowa football games and like the ideal of the Steelers drafting him. miss matches in the passing game to go a long with McDonald.
Parris Campbell what can I say he's fast with great hands.
Justin Lane 6'2" a tall CB
Ed Alexander DT that weights 330 pounds.
Jackson Barton 6'6" 330 pound OT.
Andrew Wingard 6' 210 pounds a big SS
Alex Barnes 6' 225 RB
This is if the Steelers are active in free agency to get their defensive needs. as the NFL keeps turning into a passing league got to keep the receiver position stocked.

| I'd love to see an ILB with Shazier-type speed (4.38). Is one out there, that would be available? We picked up Shazier at 15.

IowaSteeler probably knows this better, but the other Iowa TE (Hockenson) is expected to be better and even go higher. Hockenson had himself a helluva year. You can't really go wrong with either him or Fant. Fant is definitely the more gifted receiver. Hockenson is more of a polished, pure TE. Something that a lot of people forget about Fant is that he steadily improved in his blocking at Iowa. Many see him simply as a receiving threat, but he can actually hold his own blocking as well. As much as it pains me to say it, because I like both of these guys, in our offense I'd probably take Fant over Hockenson. Fant is a weapon, you can't cover him with LBs, and DBs have a tough time with him as well. He can stretch the field, line up as a receiver, and he can take the top off your defense with his speed. I think the kid has the potential to be a lot like Jimmy Graham when he was in his prime. That's not to take away from Hockenson though, he's deceptively good catching the ball, and he's a polished blocker as well. If you're looking for a good pure TE then he's the best in the draft IMO. I wouldn't mind if the Steelers picked either one of them! Both of these guys are studs. Every team knows Iowa relies heavily on their TEs and their running game for production. Despite that, teams still couldn't stop these guys. Both have a knack for making big plays, and they don't just put up stats on bottom feeders either. Hockenson/Fant shredded Ohio State for 4TD catches in 2017. One of the better defenses in college football, and they absolutely embarrassed them. Iowa has put out a lot of great TEs over the years. Dallas Clark, Tony Moeaki, Scott Chandler, George Kittle... just to name a few. _________________ "Success isn't owned, it's leased and the rent is due every day." - TJ Watt

At TE they have Hockenson rated #1 overall, and Fant #3. I think these guys are both going to be good players, it's a pick your poison kind of situation. I agree though, we have to plug the holes on defense. Maddening watching a defense that can't close games out. They improved over the course of the season, but they definitely have some weaknesses that need to be addressed. _________________ "Success isn't owned, it's leased and the rent is due every day." - TJ Watt

| i don't see a TE being a 1st rd pick for the steelers this year. it will be once again either an ILB or an OLB. i think these positions will be addressed with 1st and 2nd in either order. followed by a CB in the 3rd. | |
