Are the Dolphins low on Mike for some reason?  I would do that deal in a heartbeat but I find it hard to believe they would even give that a serious thought.

Mike Pouncey would be a nice addition to our offensive line. He and his brother Maurkice would have inherent chemistry, I'd love for that deal to be made. Maurkice though, wish that guy wasn't made of glass. He's like Samuel L. Jackson's character from Unbreakable.

Last off-season, there were rumblings of the Dolphins parting ways with Mike. I don't remember the specifics.

If he jumps something like 36" vertical or runs a 4.4, then he could make the 1st round. If not, then he ends up projecting as a nickel CB or even potential convert to Safety.

All I am saying is that he was productive in college, but there are questions about his skillset that might not translate the same in the NFL. Brandon Flowers was a guy without great 40 time, but his quickness and ball skills made him productive. King might be the same, but I think there are some questions that workouts will answer and that will determine if he is a 1st round pick or 3rd round pick.

Top of the draft is weak at QB outside of Lynch but there are definitely some guys (Hackenberg and Cardale off the top of my head) who will go in the mid-rounds who have better tools/pedigrees than your usual mid-round QB prospects.

I doubt we go that route now that Landry finally looks like a decent backup but wouldn't be upset with either of those guys I mentioned after R3. I fucking hate Cardale though as a person, he's a huge douche, but as a football player he's worth a shot.

No way would I want Cardale Jones. I just don't think he's got the tools for the NFL level. He didn't exactly blow me away this season playing for Ohio State, and I think he has maturity issues. I would take Hackenberg over Jones any day of the week.

I think we should just sign a cheap, solid, free agent this offseason honestly and wait to draft a quarterback in the next couple of years that has some definite potential.

I need to start paying more attention to college football...I watch a lot of college hoops but college football for some reason just doesn't excite me that much, downside is when it comes to the draft I don't know any of the players until like the week of the draft.

I watch a lot of college ball, even teams I don't much care for, or know anything about. I just love the sport so much. I read mock drafts ahead of time and try to get a feel as to who some of the big names are so I can watch them play prior to the draft. I watch the combines, the Senior Bowl, and the East-West Shrine Game, and the draft itself.

I'll take Desmond King, or any of the other top CB prospects at this point.... Especially after our secondary let a scrub like Ryan Mallett who just got kicked off the Texans for acting like a bitch, beat us, and possibly squash our playoff hopes for good this season. It is high time the secondary is the PRIORITY in the draft, and in free agency.

The OLB position will need to be addressed again. Or do they hope Dupree becomes a star next year while hoping Jarvis & Harrison combine around 7-8 sacks?. (Last 3 games, zero sacks from the OLBs).

ILB is a possibility with Timmons getting older(no way does he deserve more $$$).

Safety will be a high priority, but I think they'll target a player like Eric Weddle in FA as a stopgap at that position. And take one in rounds 3 or 4.

Apparently Desmond King's parents want him to stay in school, but he hasn't decided yet. If I were King I'd leave for the draft. Iowa football hit it's ceiling as evidenced by that piss poor Rose Bowl showing... King actually played quite well despite the horrible loss. Go make your money kid, you can finish that education later on.
