Take William Jackson III in round 1 or 2

take Daryl Worley in round 5 or 6

I'd be shocked they take a CB in round 1. Better yet, one before round 4

Golson returning is just like another 2nd round pick

O-line, D-line, OLB/ILB, safety, TE are way more likely.

Yeah him or Bradberry, we need a taller corner. Too many 5'9" to 5'11" types of guys. I want to see our secondary get a little taller, and a little more physical with receivers.

We should draft kick\punt return specialist in the first round.

I would not. They likely will have 3rd year guy in Cockrell, Golson who hasn't taken a snap yet and 31 year old Will Gay as their top CB's. Need to add some real talent and this year's CB class has some depth.

I could see them going Safety maybe in round 1 and look CB later, but I think the better talented player on the board will be a CB when they pick. Evaluations can change, but Safetys like Cravens or Cash might grade out lower than 1st round talent and the Steelers normally go BPA.

this is my thinking CB first round and another CB later in the draft and that depends if there is a run on CBs in the first round the could see a Safety being taken.

or the Steelers could go OT Taylor Decker first pick with the question mark about Kelvin Beachum knee injury / free agent. Then go S or CB in the second round since this is a deep draft for CB.

Imagine if they can get a Marcus Peters in the 1st, everyone stays healthy during the playoff run who is a significant player. They have a shot at winning 14 games. They just need to stay healthy, just one time.

You may be right with 2 CB picks, but I don't think so. Getting Golson healthy next season is one CB, my thought is they need a CB and a Safety prospect.

We definitely need a safety prospect...all you have to do is look at our depth chart at that position.

Yes, agreed.  I bet they bring back Robert Golden and look to draft for sure.  I think Cravens and Cash will be there at 25, but will just have to see if they have value at that pick.

Lots of guys at the safety position in later rounds at Senior Bowl too. Confirmed safeties include;

- Darrian Thompson from Boise,
- Miles Killebrew from Southern Utah,
-Jalen Mills from LSU,
-Kevin Byard from Middle Tenn St and
-Jeremy Cash from Duke.

Oops when I said a kick/punt returner I didnt mean to say first round, lol. We could maybe pick up a speedy RB or WR really who was a return specialist in college in like round 6 or 7 and use him as the all time return man. We all know Brown is one of the best returners in football but I'd hate to see him get hurt doing that.

All I saw Archer, Jones and wheaton do was muff almost every other kick.
Its probably not the main thing on everyone's minds but it would be smart of us to keep that in mind and consider taking a RB or WR in round six, who knows maybe we stumble across someone one we can use in the run/pass game too.

Just knowing AB was a sixth round pick why not throw another RB or WR into the mix that can field and return kicks well, and maybe we luck out and they develop into something more.

I'm officially pimping Miles Killebrew, Safety from Southern Utah. He has been listed at 6'2 230lbs, but weighed in at 219 at the Senior Bowl. reportedly runs a 4.45 and has great character. This year's version of Deone Buchanan or Jaquiski Tartt.

The video shows his range, speed, ball skills, special teams block and most impressive is how he hits in run support. Maybe he is still there in the 2nd round?

OK...Lance Zeirline apparently agrees with me. See what he said below...

Speaking of the secondary, it is hard to look at Southern Utah safety Miles Killebrew and not think "Pittsburgh Steelers". On a team full of talkers, Killebrew is fairly quiet on the field, but he communicates with aggressive, physical hitting.

Man I do like what I see on tape of that kid. He's got some good size to him, and speed. Takes long strides, and hits like a mack truck. Hmmm.... Interesting. 2016 nfl draft - Page 4 3135543967

Question is does he have the brains to go with the physical talents. Shamarko Thomas could run, and hit like a mack truck, but his football IQ just isn't where it should be.

A regional scout is quoted as saying he has impeccable character. In the tape I see him communicating pre snap to teammates and a good awareness to ensure he has proper control of his blocker and outside leverage on wide runs, plus he seems to cover a lot of ground in some zone coverages, which indicates an awareness of what the offense is doing. Looks to have good football IQ, but interviews will confirm that.

Jalen Mills is having a good senior bowl, but I think he might translate better to CB. He is locking guys down in coverage and only weighs something like 195 lbs.

I like the idea of hopefully taking somebody like Killebrew or Jeremy Cash. Darrian Thompson from Boise is looking like more of a ball hawk and that could work if the thought is he is a FS and Mitchell can be more of a SS. I personally like Cash or Killebrew better, as they play the run like Steeler safety should.

I'd love to see Fuller, Alexander or maybe even Mills at #25 to play CB, with any of Cash(although likely gone in the 2nd) Killebrew or Thompson in the 2nd to play safety. And maybe Nick Vannett at TE in the 3rd.

Killebrew looks like he'd be a great fit.

Question, If Jaylon Smith(ILB, ND) is on the board at #25 do you take him knowing he could miss the whole season coming off knee injury? He was a sure fire top 5 pick before the injury.

Is the Steelers issue ILB depth? I would pass on him and if you want a ILB... The Martinez kid from Stanford is somebody to look at in round 3 or 4 IMO.

2-3 years it could be an issue, Timmons is 30, VW isn't a full time starter. Jaylon Smith is one of those rare talents, future all-pro.

But it's an irrelevant question now, since it's been reported he'll be ready before the season starts, top 10-15 pick for sure.

NFL.com 4 round mock: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000629975/article/fourround-mock-draft-cowboys-grab-qb-wentz-at-no-4

1. Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State
2. Joshua Garnett, OG, Stanford
3. Sheldon Day, DT, Notre Dame
4. Nick Vannett, TE, Ohio State

Meh on Apple.
Garnett would be a straight up steal in round 2.
Day doesn't have the height you want as 34 DE(6'0) but the guy can play, Mike Daniels from GB has the same measurements and he's one heck of a player.
Vannet is a prototypical Steelers TE, similar to his former teammate Jeff Heuerman who got drafted in round 3 last year.

No safety...

Noah Spence is going to be a monster if he keeps his head straight.

Not sure Colbert and crew consider him at #25 but I sure hope they do. Heyward, Tuitt, Dupree & Spence would be a nightmare for a QB.
